Scholastic Launches Summer Reading Challenge
Summer Challenge As part of the global literacy initiative, Read Every Day. Lead a Better Life., Scholastic has launched the sixth annual Summer Challenge program dedicated to stopping the “Summer Slide,” and getting kids to read every day throughout the summer months.
For 2012, Scholastic with Reach Out and Read is challenging kids to Read for the World Record, and keep reading and learning all summer long. It is a global summer reading program with a robust online community for kids, parents, librarians and educators — and it’s all FREE.
